INTERDEPENDENCE
Human
beings are not atomised individuals. There is nothing
that we do that we can do completely alone. Even if we
were to live in isolation and grow our own food, we would
still need someone to teach us how to do it.
Dealing with others brings
out both the best and the worst in us, but interrelating
is what humans do. They build communities. Most people
living in total isolation would simply become mentally
ill very ill.
Even
if this were not true, our outcomes would still be interdependent
because we live in such close proximity to each other.
